Thursdays are School Days at Green Shoots
We set aside every Thursday at Green Shoots for work with schools. Green Shoots has two classrooms each accommodating 15 children and accompanying adults.

Environmental education resources at green shoots include and pond and log piles, a meadow, vegetable beds, a library of environmental books and two enthusiastic and qualified members of staff.

Spring Term 2011
This term we are offering free workshops to introduce schools to Green Shoots. You can specify the activities you would like your class to be involved with and we will do out best to meet your requirements.
Activities so far include
Nursery and Reception
Natural treasure hunt (finding pumpkins, autumn leaves, snails and many other things around the garden)
Autumn leaf art
Wearing bee keeping suits and visiting the bees
Key stage 1 and 2
Animals in their environments including pond dipping and bug hunts
Key Stages 3 and 4
Identification, surveying and data collection
We are developing workshops for key stage 1 and 2 classes around recycling and around bees. Watch this space for more information.
